Special packages at Zbiroh Castle
Castle Zbiroh lies on the 40 km of the motorway D5 in the direction of Plzeň.
It was the first noble castle in Bohemia, originally a gothic castle from the late 12th century, which was gradually converted into the present form of neo-Renaissance chateau.
Among the owners were personalities of Europian history such as King Premysl Otakar II, Emperors Charles IV or Rudolf II. During World War II Chateau housed the SS staff, in times of deep totality castle fell into disrepair in the hands of the Czechoslovak Army., which was hidding here the famous radar Tamara. Now is the kastle, after a complete reconstruction, for the first time in its history, opened to the public.
Chateau lounges and halls also include a great Renaissance hall, where is placed the original curtain made by Alfons Mucha, who spent 18 years at the castle and painted here his famous Slav Epic.
Chateau Zbiroh, surrounded by 60 hectares of English park, has plenty of lounges and halls, chapel and the oldest castle tower in Bohemia. Right in the castle is a medieval tavern of Rudolf II with its historical atmosphere, interior and offer of original specialties. Luxury chateau hotel, located right in the south wing of the chateau, offers its guests spending unforgettable moments full of romance and history. All hotel rooms are original palace chambers with historical furnishings and first-class services. Castle Luxury apartments offer two separate chambers in addition to a king bed with canopy and hydromassage whirlpool. There is luxourious wellnes center vailable for hotel guests with indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna, steam room, solarium and various massages. Guests can also enjoy guided tours of the castle, a large rope center in the castle woods, minigolf with 10 lanes, terrain buggy, bicycles and croquet.
